She Almost Didn’t Enter — And The Chili World Is Lucky She Changed Her Mind

Freya nearly skipped the Pacific Northwest Blaze-Off entirely because she thought her white chicken chili was “too unconventional” for the circuit. She entered anyway, mostly on a dare from her roommate, and ended up walking away with the top prize and a standing ovation from a crowd that had never once before applauded for a white chili.
