Okay So The “Car Trouble” Excuse Only Works Once

Okay so one dad told his wife he had car trouble and needed to borrow her car for pickup. Used it three Tuesdays in a row. She drives a Tesla. It has a location history. You see where this is going.
The neighborhood Reddit thread blew up when someone posted a photo of six cars parked outside the school with the caption “anyone else notice a pattern.” The comments hit 200 before the mods archived it. We’ll just say the screenshot made the rounds.
The “Just Being Neighborly” Defense Is Not Holding Up

Three separate dads have used the phrase “just being neighborly” in the past two months. One said it to his wife. One said it in a text that got screenshotted. One said it out loud in the pickup lane while visibly fixing his hair in the rearview mirror.
The kids have started noticing too. Her stepson reportedly asked why there are “so many uncles” at school. The teacher overheard it and sent home a newsletter about “community.” Nobody was fooled.
